This directory contains the windows sourcecode for the LM983x twain
driver developed by National Semiconductor, and donated to us to make
it easier to write an open source, Linux, Unix, whatever driver for
the scanners based on that chipset.

I want to thank National Semiconductor, and especially Fred Hamilton
at NS for the sourcecode.

Here's the unfinished "Software Designers Guide".  It's incomplete, it may
have mistakes, so use at your own risk.  Unfortunately we've stopped
working on it because all our major customers ended up writing their own
drivers, so the need for this guide went away.  But it might give you an
overview of how things are supposed to work.  If you're in doubt or come
across some conflicting information, believe the source code.  The source
code works...

Windows installation.  I'll send the install files separately as well
